Stephanie Cheng is a photographer and filmmaker based between New York and Beijing. Through her work, Stephanie examines the performance of race and gender through a cross-cultural lens, and explores the evolving representations of female sexuality and power across mediums, with a particular focus on the disillusionment one often encounters through the slow and non-linear transitions of life. Stephanie received her B.F.A. in Film and Television from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and completed her Master’s in Visual, Museum, and Material Anthropology at the University of Oxford.
She is currently developing her first feature, THE THIRD PARTY, which has been supported by Cine Qua Non Lab and was named a finalist at Almanack Screenwriters.
